Goalies use them wisely

No need to play your goalies every start in some formats
If there is no games played limit and your goalie gets a shut out. Bench the rest for the week if you only have a few catagories.
Ex. lets say my catagories are GAA, Save%, Wins and Losses
Miller and Howard are my 2 goalies on 2 different nights. Miller gets a shutout on Monday i then bench my goalies for the rest of the week and my stats look like this

W-1   L-0   GAA-0.000   Save%-1.000

I can not get beat in 3 out of 4 catagories which should be enough for a win that week
It may not work in some pools due to Games played limits on some catagories so check your settings

World Juniors

Wow team Canada Kicked the snot out of team Russia.
Total domination on the ice. They hit anything red that touched the puck That was Hockey
Keep your eye on the Juniors tournement for future stars to draft and guys to pick up and store on your keeper bench.

Trades

A word of advice on trades
NO trade offered to you is made to benefit your team no matter what the offerer says
Take your time and reasearch the players involved. never accept a trade that day.
unless the owner offering the trade is a moron in which case go ahead and accept it but know that it will most likely get voted down

Fantasy Hockey tips

Use your roster wisely. Deeper formats that have catagories like Hits, Block Shots, Penalty minutes Etc. Allow you to pick up guys on the free agency list that can help you steal a win week to week.
sometimes to much  credit is placed on the guys that can put the puck in the net.

Ex. Last 7 days
     Cody McCormick 0G 0A 0+/- 7PIM 7 SOG 7Hits 3 BS =24 total fantsy points
    Brad Richards        4G 1A +1    0 PIM 13 SOG 0 hits 1 BS = 23 total fantasy points

who would rather have on your team? Obviously Richards but in a format like this you can see that McCormick can help you win other Catagories so don't overlook him its almost guarenteed that he will be available where as Richards would probably not be.
